That was exactly my problem. I never got above a 78 on the outlines. You literally have to do everything perfectly to get an A.

I dunno I'm the most introverted and asocial person ever, so that class was my own personal hell. But yes, you're right, the overall workload wasn't bad, it was just the outlines and speeches that sucked. COM114 has nothing on STEM courses haha.

Yeah man I have an 85% right now and the final is worth 40% of my whole grade. This was a kind of rough quarter because the class was all online and that didn't sit too well with me.

My final was like 30% of my grade which is a pretty good chunk. The problem is, is that the class is graded in such a funky way(it is like a curve based on the final then distributed amongst your recitation, in other words they make it up), so I honestly don't know what I am getting.

I am taking an online class next semester. Hopefully it doesn't go too badly... How was yours?

Agreed. You always hear about how great of an engineering/math/science school Purdue is, but no one mentions just how much they try to fuck you over. I'm in MET so it's not so bad but you guys in actual engineering have it rough, man. Making some classes difficult makes sense to an extent, but some of the are just overkill, Calc 2 especially.

Well what class are you taking online? Like I said I took calculus, so it was a pretty serious subject. Online format did not fit it IMO but I imagine it could for some subjects. I did take calc in high school so I was already familiar with some of this stuff on varying levels. But the stuff I had to learn all over again didn't burn in as well as things burn in with a real instructor... yeah it really depends on the subject and your learning style

One unarguably good thing was how little time was how much free time I had. Next quarter I'm going to be in class a lot more than I am now..
